In the upcoming open-world mission based shoot out from Ubisoft, Ghost Recon Wildlands, we’ve explored the Santa Blanca drug cartel. This criminal organisation is made up of three key leaders including leader El Sueño, Head of Trafficking Nidia Flores and Head of Influence El Cardenal.
As the leaders of the cartel drug group, your main mission is to defeat these players, but we sense that the journey might not be as simple as we think.
You’ll come across the cartel’s faithful employees along the way including many AIs in the form of snipers, short-range shooters and tactical hordes of merciless men.
Santa Blanca Cartel and El Pozolero
You’ll also come across Ghost Recon enemies that are rooted deeper into the Santa Blanca cartel, such as their sidemen. An example of this was shown in a gameplay trailer shared by Ubisoft about the member of the cartel El Pozolero.
Also known as The Stewmaker, El Pozolero operates under the security branch, the military wing of the cartel. He ensures that the Ghost Recon enemies remain untraceable and prides himself on cleaning up evidence and disposing of corpses.
His real name is Raul Murillo and he is socially awkward and child like, born out of his peculiar upbringing. He is a nervous character in the game, he will run and hide opposed to fighting his assailant head on. A previous construction worker, El Pozolero was hired by the cartel to dissolve bodies of their enemies, by placing them in oil drums with caustic soda, pretty gross.
You can expect to uncover more characters similar to El Pozolero who are key members of the Santa Blanca drug cartel. They’ll each have key skills and operate in entirely different ways as well as being driven by their personality traits. An exciting part of this unique and player-adaptable game.
