A military tactical shooer published by Ubisoft, there are 14 games and expansions in the Ghost Recon series. Gamers play as The Ghosts, who are U.S Army Special Forces soldiers. The Ghosts deal with highly classified missions and operate as a small unit, stealthy and quickly.

The first in the series launched in 2001, the story takes place in Russia, where there is a civil unrest. The Ghosts job is to stop the ultra-nationalists, with a final showdown in Moscow’s Red Square. Again released on Nintendo in 2010.

Linked with one of the Splinter Cell stories and the sinking of fictional intelligence vessel Clarence E. Walsh, the story revolves around a new Korean War and a coup against the North Korean government.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (2006)
Taking place over 72 hours, beginning in Mexico City, the game plot revolves around the main protagonist and important Ghost Recon character Scott Mitchell to rescue the US President from Mexican rebels.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (2007)
Set a day after the events of the first Warfighter game, the story deals with conflict on the Mexican border and issues that have arisen from the Mexican rebels.
Ghost Recon Predator (2010)
The first game released for PlayStation Portable, Predator takes place in Sri Lanka, which has been targeted by a US invasion force aiming to destroy a rebel group.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier (2012)
A new team of Ghosts takes on a Russian criminal syndicate that has taken control of Russia. This is when customisation really grew in the Ghost Recon games.
Ghost Recon Phantoms (2012)
A third person multiplayer combat game and free-to-play online. Only released on PC, phantoms focused on combat between teams of players revolving around three soldier classes.
Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017)
The first of the Ghost Recon games to have an open-world experience and environment. The game’s story dials it back to present day instead of opting for their usual futuristic style. A new team of Ghosts travel to Bolivia to take down a major drug cartel.
