Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer

Mass Effect: Andromeda will feature multiplayer, similar to that in Mass Effect 3. BioWare added the multiplayer to the last game in the trilogy, which attracted a new audience for the franchise. Though risky at the time, the multiplayer proved to be hugely popular among fans and a similar multiplayer mode will be available in Andromeda.

Although Andromeda multiplayer has been confirmed to affect the main single player campaign, but not to the extent in which multiplayer affected Mass Effect 3, where you relied heavily on War Assets amplified from the multiplayer mode.

There will be changes to the system and multiplayer mode in Andromeda including,

Camping in defensible areas removed

BioWare have spruced up the ease of the Mass Effect multiplayer, by making it harder for players to find spots and hide there to take on the hordes of AI enemies. Now, the enemies will flush you out, keeping players moving, making the whole experience more exciting.

Mass Effect Mutiplayer

Individual Cooldowns

BioWare listened to what players loved about the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer and the strengths of the special powers players could use against enemies. Instead of having one single global timer on these powers, there will be individual cooldown rates for increased versatility and ease.

The Jetpack

Also a massive addition to the gameplay in general, the jetpack comes as an obvious advantage to get height on enemies and gain advantage on large attacks, including avoiding obstacles and moving quickly. Of course, there are limitations in both multiplayer and single player, with the jetpacks only providing short bursts of momentum.

Blind Card Packs

New weapons, character kits and items will be completely determined by luck. Although you can purchase your packs with in game currency, you don’t get a choice in what you’ll receive. This might be slightly frustrating, but it does get you playing the game for that one item you desperately want.

Prestige

Prestige has been bought in to keep players involved in the multiplayer mode after release. It can be a struggle to keep players interested when the single player is over, so BioWare have created a reason to keep players coming back. Prestige is a point system, where players can gain XP for their class style in order to build on and upgrade certain character feats.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released on on the March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe 2017 and be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
